B-BOOGIE PROFILE (English)

In 1980's, B-BOOGIE in his boyhood was a "Famikko"(=famicom kid).

He spent much time with video game playing, like Famicom(NES), PC Engine, and arcade machines.

His cassette deck? always held tapes of video game music, or the Beatles.

Every day after school he watched TV shows of ANIME or TOKUSATSU stories.

Absorbing Japanese subculture was just a every day unconscious task for him like every other guys in Japan.


In 1990's B-BOOGIE hit the most culture-shocking encounter in his life by entering the hip hop club.

Then his hip hop carrier started as a DJ, but he started performance as MC/rapper soon.

Dreaming of American east coast hip hop, he choose Brooklyn college in New York to catch a original hip hop scene in his eyes.

He spent 1 year at College student, and started taking pictures at class of photography there.

Every single day he caught hip hop MCs, DJs, and B-boys. Later his pictures opened exhibition called "Wicked WITNESS" in Japan 2006/2007.


In 2000's, years of B-boy "B-BOOGIE" is not over yet and STILL FRESH.

He started his experimentally new identity by fusing his hip hop with his old school hobby culture: video game and Anime.
